就學歷來說，大專可以說associate,本科bachelor,碩士master,博士doctor,後三個詞指的是學位，即學士、碩士、博士學位，而研究生表示在讀研的人，統稱為graduate student.
好像也有人本科畢業沒有拿到學士學位，那就不能稱之為bachelor，可以稱為undergraduate,即本科。
diploma可以表示大專，有時也泛指文憑。
另外，本科，碩士，博士可以用first degree,2nd degree和3rd degree來表示。
